Seminole Lodge #291 P.H.A. was organized in February 1928 under Worshipful Master E.A.. Evans (1928-1953) and followed by Worshipful Masters Admiral E. Beneby (1953-1957), Cal Bryant (1958), Harrington Beneby (1958-1962), Curtis Jones (1963-1982), Rev. Jefford J. Smith (1983-1985), William C.B. James (1986-1989), Cleveland Morley, Jr. (1990-1991), Arthur Cole (1992-1993), Will Davis, Jr. (1994-1995), Carl Ricks (1996-1997), Horace W. Roberts (1998-1999), Roderick L. Florence (2000-2001), Horace W. Roberts (2001- 2005), Carl D. Ricks (2006), Pierre Rutledge (2006-2008), and the Lodge is currently under the leadership of Worshipful Master Elton Lewis.

Over the years Seminole Lodge #291 has donated monies to Community Based Organizations, Optimist Clubs, Families in need, supported other Social and Civic Organizations, provided assistance to distress Master Masons, provided Annual Financial Award given to a worthy student or organization, participates in Habitat for Humanity, Annual Christmas visitation to Jackson Memorial Hospital Children’s ward.

Seminole Lodge provides Annual Picnics, Family Nights and other social activities throughout the year and will continue to endeavor to provide these services dedicated in helping people and making a positive contribution to citizens of this community.  As we enter this new Century “Brothers Reaching Higher Heights in the New Millennium” we look at our growth, achievements and contributions within this community and ask GOD to continue to bless us that we may be glorified in his work.
